Spring. The army will storm the dike city of Oudenkirk across the tidal flats, in the seven hours of low water. Dagan Rusk has three weeks to build stretcher teams and a line of fifty.
On the day, he must keep the assault battalions on their feet until the tide comes back. If he fails, the army drowns on the flats.
