The Quartermaster of Ashfall Academy

A Men's LitRPG Academy Adventure

Ashfall Academy, book 1

He can't win a fight. He can make sure they never fight hungry.

Corvin Hale kept a besieged fort fed for forty days. Then the relief convoy never came, and he had to choose who ate.

Two years later he is an F-rank Quartermaster with a bad knee, a ledger full of names, and one job offer: instructor of the Support Track at Ashfall War Academy. Thirty-one cadets nobody wanted. A cook, a drummer, a medic who freezes, a thief, a scribe the houses laughed at. Broken boots and scrap steel.

The academy's rule is simple. In eighty-one days comes the Autumn Trial, and the track that places last is disbanded and sent to the levy at the Breach, where half a levy dies in its first year.

Against them stand four combat houses, an S-rank Lancer who can cross forty yards in a heartbeat, and Magister Drask, who holds the ration ledger from the fort, with his own son's name in it.

Corvin can't make his cadets stronger. He can make them rested, fed, equipped, drilled, and briefed. He swore he would never again decide who gets left behind.

The Trial will test that.

A complete story with its own ending; the series continues in book 2. Slow-burn, closed-door romance (no explicit scenes). All characters are adults.
